books don't read me

been eatin' too much booze

a 15 year old boy from mexico likes this song. i do too.

there's somethin' in the moonlight, baby
maybe it's the sunlight fadin
i'm sittin on a reindeer thinkin
sleepin is a lot like blinking
& helium balloons
on quiet afternoons
& helium balloons

there's somethin' in the headlights, baby
sleep until the sleepin's scary
i'm eatin too much food
i still ain't got a clue
been eatin too much booze
it's trivial pursuit

i ain't got a second chance
but i gotta tryta dance
why you whisper in the woods?
people dyin in the hood

somethin' in the headlights, baby
tellin me to crawl real slowly
i will lick the wound
cause i don't have a spoon
somethin' in the forest fires
and it's gonna take me higher
runnin out of time
runnin out of lines

i need a nice surprise
need a nice surprise

all the girls say all the girls say
"oh lord heaven"
all the girls say all the girls say
"five six seven"
& helium balloons
it's trivial pursuit

i ain't had my first chance
but i gotta tryta dance
why(le) i whisper in the woods?
people dyin in the hood

Guess you dreams always end.
They don't rise up, just descend,
But I don't care anymore,
I've lost the will to want more,
I'm not afraid not at all,
I watch them all as they fall,
But I remember when we were young.

Those with habits of waste,
Their sense of style and good taste,
Of making sure you were right,
Hey don't you know you were right?
I'm not afraid anymore,
I keep my eyes on the door,
But I remember....

Tears of sadness for you,
More upheaval for you,
Reflects a moment in time,
A special moment in time,
Yeah we wasted our time,
We didn't really have time,
But we remember when we were young.

And all God's angels beware,
And all you judges beware,
Sons of chance, take good care,
For all the people not there,
I'm not afraid anymore,
I'm not afraid anymore,
I'm not afraid anymore,
Oh, I'm not afraid anymore.

after 17 movies, that lil film blog over to the right seems to have stopped indefinitely, died completely, or slowed to such a ridiculous pace that it's impossible to tell whether or not it's still still capable of breathing. which means you should go here instead :: THAT WAS JUNK

also, you can't miss this blog... it's beyond classic. free albums and bootlegs that you need to have :: PUNK NOT PROFIT

Impose got a boner

for Brandon Can't Dance! Or maybe just for Ray Weiss. BCD is a solo experimental project by Brandon Ayres from Rasputin's Secret Police and Gorgeous. The first four BCD records have been featured on tamur and available for free download for quite some time (see the Catalog... and excepting #3 which brandon doesn't like anymore.)

Unfortunately for the listeners, Mr. Weiss of new york pop sensation Le Rug (his own ego-trip including more former members than I can list, including myself) swept up the Ayres, along with former *free* tamur artists Rainbow Party, offering both a bunch of money to print CD-Rs of their new albums to sell and profit from (monetary profit, hipcred & otherwise).

So if you want to give Ray money to pay back his loan, feel free. If you want to listen to the music, ask me for a free download after they are physically released physically on physical CD-Rs and for each download I'll personally make the artists sandwiches. I don't really care if they oppose this, they can have any kind of cold-cuts they want. Thinly sliced. Oh, and Impose's write-up is classless and ignorant, so I won't bother linking you. It's terrible. Just be careful where your money goes -- I doubt the artists will know how much of a slice "beast reality" is taking.

that said, you should definitely GO TO THE BRANDON CAN'T DANCE VOLUME V RELEASE SHOW FEATURING SWEET BULBS, FIASCO, LITURGY & THE SO-SO GLOS DJ'N LIKE PAULY D. it's at the Silent Barn, which is a gnarly venue. BK, NY off the L.

2/12/10 :: @ a Basement in Ewing, NJ

you're going to be there. you're going to dance. because basement shows are the best shows. here's who's playing (facebook event // flyer) ::

:: an angry new york tom waits eats thrash shrapnel

:: a "noise-shambolic-satanic-sludgecore, pop-gloom-shoegaze, psych-garage three-piece" from central NJ
[they're also playing Championship Bar & Grill in Trenton on Dec. 16th]

:: fresh-vegetables-for-rotten-fruitcake/not-genre-hardcore from Yardville, NJ [hey! they got good pizza there! and greco's barbershop!]

:: get-out-your-synths-like-it's-2010 with a chick on drums??

:: nothing-is-OKAY-and-we're-gonna-sing-about-it

:: dreadful-weirdo-cassette-tape-makin' ramblins from New Hope, PA

:: it's like humans making out with animals and insects! with words! it's good and it's cool and i can't imagine how he'll pull this off live, but if you've seen Charlie Wilson's War, you'll just TRUST IT.

:: from New Jork. (& da hip kids LOVE 'em)

you like to dance? ok, well come dance. i don't care what your answer was. but don't dance when you're not supposed to -- just find a pocket to put your hand in and wish you were making out with the cute girl next to you. that goes for you girls too. ok, so... look out for a flyer... and all you kids who have schedules and places to be and like to plan things in advance because you really like to control the fuck out of your life or maybe you're just Jersey surfin' party thrash lovers, there'll be another show at this location on 2/26 feat. NoN-SToP! and it's gonna be gnarly... get yer kicks in New Jersey!
